There are two kinds of tales to be told here. As we become more familiar with the system testing out encounters, interactions, and expand the general lore of the world there will be lore dumps. There will also be campaign stories very similar to how the lore was expanded in Dawurld. Either way the world will be built story by story and encounter by encounter.
This will focus on Andol, File, Karama, and Nuri as they travel Lonagáin. Starting in the border town of Rudraige, Iarlugh, we will see them fight creatures, explore dungeons and explain common aspects of Lonagáin.
This is the first of hopefully many campaigns set in Lonagáin. The characters will start in the town Nynäs in Aoile, a town steeped in fey activity. How will they handle the mysteries that abound in the mystical woods?
The world of Lonagáin is a high-magic world where the arcane, divine, occult, and primal magics of the world affect everything around. Characters, both non-player and player will be affected by this in various ways. As mentioned in All a Lonagáin this means the rules of Pervasive magic are in play from Paizo's Secrets of Magic guidebook.
Romanticism is a celebration of nature and the common-man. These stories will focus on characters around Lonagáin, so they will explore their emotions and focus on their experiences. We'll see characters as they interact with the grandness of nature and each other in epic tales of their struggles
With a land full of magic, threats lie around every corner, heroes will go on mythic journeys to stop them. Whether it be a big bad evil guy, a monster plaguing the lands, or a great war that is on the brink of tearing countries apart and redrawing boundaries, the heroes are going to tell big stories in a bigger way.
Do not be worried about the medieval realism. The effective tech is floating somewhere around the Georgian Era, however the overall feel of the setting should be more Renaissance. The world is very much divided despite the formation of kingdoms, towns and fiefs are likely to be more controlled by the local leaders than totally beholden to the kings and queens. Tradition also holds great sway among the people who are very much superstitious of the world around them, and who could blame them. The people of Lonagáin are also very tied to the land they were born in.
